According to sources, the high-end vehicle was stolen in London, and those responsible for the theft were able to bring it to Pakistan using the credentials of a senior bureaucrat from an European nation.
Following a tip from the UK National Crime Agency that the stolen Bentley Mulsanne automobile was parked in a home in Pakistan, the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement (CCE) in Karachi carried out a raid. After learning about the stolen car, officials from the UK National Crime Agency raided the house, seized the fancy car, and also discovered illegal weapons in another cottage of the same house. According to a claim in Pakistan’s local media, individuals responsible for the theft neglected to remove or turn off Bentley's monitoring tracker, which allowed UK officials to pinpoint the car's precise location using the GPS tracking technology.
The luxury Bentley is the company's largest and priciest handcrafted car, costing over 3,00,000 US Dollars or about 2.4 crores in Indian rupees. The vehicle's registration had also been changed and a fake registration was placed on the number plate. After the home's owner failed to provide sufficient documentation, the authorities detained both him and the broker who sold him the car.
