Actor Dinesh From CID Show Passes Away
Famous Sony Entertainment show CID’s inspector Fredricks aka Freddy passed away on 5th December at 12:08 am. The news of his demise was confirmed by his CID co-star Dayanad Shetty.
One of the famous actors of the CID series, Mr. Dinesh Phadnis passed away at 12:08 am on 5th December 2023. Dinesh played the beloved character of Inspector Fredricks aka Freddy in CID. He has also appeared in the Aamir Khan starrer ‘Sarfarosh’ & Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Super 30.’
The news of Dinesh’s demise has been confirmed by his CID co-star Dayanand Shetty who played the role of inspector Daya on the show. Dinesh was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for the past couple of days. When asked, Daya said that it was a different treatment, and he wouldn’t like to comment on it. Daya told the reporters that Dinesh had suffered from multiple organ failure. Daya rubbished the previous news of Dinesh suffering from heart attack that surfaced on 3rd December 2023 and confirmed that it was rather liver failure. Daya said “There were a lot of complications and he was removed from the ventilator last night.” Almost everyone from the CID show was present at Dinesh’s house to pay him respect. CID was Sony Entertainment television’s one of longest running shows. It premiered in 1998 and aired more than 1500 episodes over 20 years till 2018. According to some reports, Dinesh had written many of CID’s episodes. The actor’s funeral took place in Mumbai at 10:30 am. Dinesh is survived by his wife Nayana and a daughter named Tanu.
