Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at home, sparking controversies over the attacker’s identity, Kareena’s presence, and political reactions, with many questions still unanswered.
On 16th January 2025, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked at his Mumbai home. The attacker stabbed him multiple times, causing serious injuries to his spine, neck, and hands. After an emergency surgery, Saif was discharged on 21st January, with doctors confirming he was out of danger.
The police identified the suspect as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh, and arrested him. However, the incident has sparked several controversies and unanswered questions.
How Did the Attacker Enter?
There is confusion about how Shehzad entered Saif’s house. Some reports claim he climbed the pipeline or entered through the AC duct, while others say he was already inside the house as a servant. Another theory suggests he climbed the compound wall while the security guard was asleep and entered through the main entrance, where no CCTV was installed.
Was Kareena Kapoor at Home?
Another controversy revolves around Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan. While her Instagram story claimed she was out for dinner with friends, some reports suggest she had returned home before the attack. Questions have been raised about why she didn’t take Saif to the hospital. Sources claim Kareena was drunk and avoided going to the hospital to prevent further scrutiny.
Why Was Saif Taken to the Hospital in an Auto?
Saif was rushed to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw, raising eyebrows. While some reports say no drivers or cars were available, others claim Saif’s sons, Taimur and Ibrahim, accompanied him. The auto driver, who didn’t recognize Saif, refused payment upon seeing his condition. Later, the driver was rewarded ?11,000 by an NGO, ?50,000 by Saif, and ?1 lakh by singer Mika Singh for his kindness.
Is the Attacker Really Shehzad?
The identity of the attacker has become a major controversy. Shehzad’s father, Ruhul Fakir, claims the person in the CCTV footage doesn’t resemble his son, pointing out differences like long hair. He also stated that Shehzad entered India legally for work and had no history of violence.
Adding to the confusion, fingerprints found at the crime scene do not match Shehzad’s, as confirmed by the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). This raises questions about whether the police arrested the right person.
Politicians Weigh In
Maharashtra Ports Minister Nitesh Rane made controversial remarks, questioning if Saif was truly stabbed or just “acting.” He accused politicians of showing bias toward Muslim actors and ignoring Hindu actors like Sushant Singh Rajput.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam also questioned Saif’s quick recovery, calling it a “medical miracle.” Meanwhile, actress Pooja Bhatt criticized conspiracy theorists, urging people to focus on Saif’s bravery instead of spreading rumors.
What’s the Truth?
With multiple versions of the incident and conflicting reports, it’s hard to determine what really happened. Was it a planned attack, a cover-up, or something else?
